Today I took one of my favorite photos ever. If you’ve ever been to ground zero, it’s a lot to take in. I’m sure you all remember where you were the morning of September 11th 2001. I can’t even begin to imagine what it would have been like for the ones trapped in the building, for the onlookers from below, or for the firefighters and first responders to the scene. The enormity of the voids from where the towers used to stand and seeing the names etched into stone of nearly 3,000 people that lost their lives really puts into perspective the magnitude of devastation that was caused that day. I remember the months following the attacks, how UNITED we actually were as a nation, I miss that. It’s sad that it took such a catastrophic event to bring us together. With the huge divide in our country today, I only pray that we can find a way to becoming united again without so many having to suffer. God bless America.
