We had such a fun birthday party in the studio this afternoon! The theme was animals and all of the party guests created some super awesome creatures out of clay and loose parts. Ever heard of a unicorn bear?
Dollhouse presentations are one of my favorite parts of Dollhouse Camp! It’s the artist’s time to share all of their hard work with their peers, highlighting their process and all the little details they’ve added to their houses. Hearing all of their sweet compliments to one other is just the best. Here’s a look at a few of their final presentations!
Thanks for the delicious ice cream treat, @wyliepalooza Perfect way to end our Dollhouse Camp week!
I cannot wait to share all these amazing dollhouses with you tomorrow! The artists worked incredibly hard today making more furniture and adding all sorts of adorable details to their homes. Tomorrow they’ll be creating peg doll people and adding finishing touches. Keep an eye on our Insta Stories for full house tours!
Also, is this a class you’d like to see offered on Saturday afternoons this fall? Let us know!
Dollhouse Camp magic- day 2! Today campers finished painting and began to furnish their houses. They created furniture out of clay, recycled materials, wood, and cardboard. They also began to add tiny details to their homes, like food in the kitchen, curtains, books and magazines, pillows, and so much more. This is an amazingly creative group of artists and I can’t wait to see how these houses continue to evolve over the next two days! #dollhousecamp#artcamp#indy#indyarts
Dollhouse Camp Day 1 was a DREAM! These designers are incredibly focused and eager to create- and we love it! Today was all about planning rooms, creating a color palette, and painting the interior/exterior of the dollhouses.
Ms. Fran was able to join the campers for a bit this morning, but we want to send out a HUGE thank you to Mrs. Rachael of @carmel_cooperative for coming to help teach today so that Fran can continue to recover from surgery. Thank you!!!! This week is going to be so good. We can’t wait to share more of the amazing creativity coming from our campers!
So much goodness this week at camp, but I think the bee stuffies and clay bugs were the biggest hit. Stuffy making is incredibly easy and tons of fun! A great summer project to do with your children. Let me know if you’d like some info on how to create your own special stuffy toy!
