Check out this amazing red!! Let’s get really really real for a sec. if your hair has been colored, this red can not be achieved easily. Unless you are starting with a light enough canvas you will need to lighten the hair first. This is a very time consuming process that a lot of people aren’t willing to pay for or sit through.
When it comes to red tones, you don’t have to lighten too much. I just aim for a light orange phase which is very scary to see but it’s a perfect foundation for a bright and vibrant red.
With my client here, first I lightened her whole head. Took about 2 hours to apply the lightener, process and shampoo. Then I dried her hair and applied the beautiful red color by @redken she processes for 35 min, shampoo condition. After a big change I always always always recommend a haircut. Your ends have been through a lot and will feel so much better ( and hold the color better) if you just clean them up. Big color changes are a lot of fun but be ready for the initial appointment to be pretty hefty and time consuming
