#aboutlastnight so as of late I've been intentionally dating myself. Doing thoughtful things for myself, taking myself out, finding new experiences alone. I'm a pretty solitary person. Idk if it's nature or nurture, but I get along pretty well all by my lonesome.
I've been wanting to have a really great food experience, but when you cook like I do going out to eat can leave you feeling like you wasted your money on something you could have done better at home. In my case especially, being a vegan in a city with a Chinese/chicken/pizza/fast food joint within a few feet of each other in any direction it can be disheartening AF! I can't even get fries at most places because they fry in the same oil as wings or some other dismembered body part, SO WHAT'S LEFT FOR ME?!?!?! The breeze blew me into Second st. Shwarma, and I'm so freaking happy it did. I was immediately greeted by a super sweet girl who let me know how awesome my hair was . She helped me find the vegan items on there menu, gave me suggestions, and laughed with me. I got a sampler of grape leaves, falafel, hummus, pita and some other yumminess that my mind can't seem to remember, but my belly does! The food was ready super quick, and home girl was hype to give me my to go order. She knew what she was about to do to me. GIRL I GOT SHWARMA'D I sat in my car on second st. and made LOVE to that plate! Those grape leaves doe sooooo tender! I'm over here screaming FALAFEL!!!!! Hot and crispy on the outside, hot and flavorful in the inside, and the sauce LAWD! I'm going to stop now before I sit outside waiting for them to open lol.
Besides the food being bomb, the people are dope, and they are open on the late night weekends! Chiilllleee
I WILL be going back #hbg
