So, it started to snow today when I got out of my belly dancing class. Cold air, tired bones, long day at work, and so many emotions regarding the upcoming book In #louisianacatch ... Rohan Brady whips up a delicious southern meal. When I sat in the subway, all I wanted was a bowl of his Cajun cooking Hey, if you spend 6 years with your characters, they do start to feel like real people♀️ Since fictitious characters don’t cook for us...I looked through some pictures of #nolafood on my phone. This was one of the most amazing meals we ate in the French Quarter in #NewOrleans. I swear, cannot wait to get back to that city #authorconfession#neworleansfood
This is our last night in NOLA. We definitely made the most of our day, though. We visited the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas (which featured a giant strawberry daiquiri for this girl), Café du Monde (those beignets though ), Café Pontalba (hello Voodoo Juice ), and lots of little shops (one led me to my awesome new flask ).

Eating good food is a favorite activity of mine. But in order to align my eating habits with my overall wellness goals, I’ve had to find a balance. And today, I had yet another opportunity to practice balance. So I am proud to say that from the time I woke up until I lay my head to sleep, I have been able to prioritize my wellness.
1. I did not allow my frustrations to cloud my judgement.
2. I chose not to overeat so I can enjoy my meal fully.
3. I’m wearing my favorite pjs to ensure I have a restful sleep.
I hope we can all end our day in a way that promotes your wellness goals.
