As a goalie @alyssabrown_29 has certain goal she is trying to obtain. We are trying to really focus on her lateral movement, jumping ability, quickness, and strengthening her core. Single leg work makes the dream work. While bilateral strength is a big focus for our athletes we put just as much, if not more emphasis on unilateral work with the upper body and lower body. @katie_stahre and the rest of the softball pitchers have seen their biggest strength and speed gains when there is a big focus on single leg work. #peakperformance #bethebestyou #softballstrong

Conditioning doesn’t have to be boring! We can make conditioning “fun” by changing up the usual mile, gassers, pole runs, etc. We’ve recently been adding our Agility Conditioning which focuses on quick movements, hand-eye coordination, and change of direction. 3 sets of 20 catches does the trick. We’ve also been switching it up on the @assaultairbike with 1 mile sprints. These are BRUTAL when the athletes push for the facility record of 2:08. @dyl_smith22 and @mig_l0vin did great work demonstrating the other day. #peakpeformance #bethebestyou #peakstrong #makeconditioningfunagain

We will begin offering Youth Agility Clinics on Friday June 15th at 6pm. These clinics will serve as a beginners course of training at Peak Performance Athletics. Athletes will learn how to move, run, and jump in a fun environment. Clinics are $10 each and no registration is required. We’ve been working to add in a fair amount of complexes to our college athletes programs this summer. We use a lot of unilateral movements and holds in our athlete programming. We can go for movement, pure strength, or hypertrophy with all of these movements. Congrats to @mads.ivyy for earning Athlete of the Month for May. Maddie has been making big strides in the gym which are going to translate into big thing this Volleyball season.
