Too many young athletes are wasting precious time not engaged in training. Not their fault, though. Mom and Dad need to get them here and set the example for why upgrading our physical and mental performance capacity is the precursor to success in all of life, especially in competitive sports. Their team coaches should be advocating for this all day long as well, as a stronger, fitter and more resilient group of teammates will certainly upgrade their capacity to compete to win.
Since the average kid in America spends six hours (!!!) on a device outside of school, the excuse of "we're too busy" doesn't work for us. We all have the same 24 hours in the day, and how we invest our time and energy reflects what we love and value. We have young athletes training three to four times per week, whose parents find ways for them to get here. If your son or daughter aren't training, they are falling behind. It's that simple.
Our system gives every young athlete the tools, coaching and capacity they need to reach the highest possible level of both sport and human performance. They simply show up, put in the work and the results will come. The more frequent and consistent an athlete is with their training and support, the more immediate and profound the results will be.
As summer approaches, let us not waste another few months without upgrading the lives of our nations youth. Instead, let's work together to maximize the physical capacity, mental fortitude and desire for greatness that they will experience from engaging in our system.
