Elk in his natural habitat
Well, we found out today that the Missoula Insectarium closed (at least for the time being). After some hysterical crying, we pulled ourselves together and settled for learning about elk.

𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟗>𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟑>𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟐 So happy we started our yearly trip back to Montana again...and back to visiting our friend...I think he needs a name since he’s clearly a part of the family. 🤣 Here’s to hoping we end don’t kill each other on opening day...cause let’s be real....hunting season makes us fight more than any other time of year 😂🤣
Stay away from these guys 🦌 this time of year, pawtners. They can be quite testy 😤💏....unless they’re like Bob, here...he’s so calm 🤣😜🐕🐕🐾🐾🐾🐾

ELK SEASON , is upon us ! Hope to bag another one this big !
@coreyjacobsen.elk101@thebugler@phelpsgamecalls and @damerpagano are the masters of making an elk reed and bugle tube produce music. However, stage calling for competition is mostly an experiment in human psychology and is not a clear example of an ability to mimic elk sounds. Real bugles that come from real elk are imperfect. They produce simultaneous pitches that we have yet to be able to create with a diaphragm and tube. The good news is that we have been killing elk doing what we’ve been doing for a long time now and there is no reason to expect that to change. My advice is to practice mimicking elk, and not elk callers. And enjoy this throaty growler.
Very realistic life size displays of Rocky Mountain wildlife including grizzly and black bears, Elk, mountain lion, and bighorn sheep. Learned quite a bit about Elk conservative efforts.
