Alaska demişken zehirli örümceğin ısırdığı (5 ayrı noktadan) bacağım ilk gün sonunda bu haldeydi. Bir haftada geçti ve bacağımı uyuşturdu. Hastane yoktu, doğal otlarla hayatta kaldım. Dipnot: (Örümcek ağı atabiliyorum) #alaska#intothewild#spider#bite#wild#spiderman
Whales! Mountains! Cool people! Great coffee! Seward's just one of those really special places and we're so thankful we get to work and play here.
This Thanksgiving, we want to express a bit of extra gratitude. We'll start with this sneak peek at Seward in the mornings. Stay tuned all week as we celebrate Seward and why we’re so thankful for this special place. #GratefulForSeward
My favorite mountain is the one behind me in this photo. Her name is Mount Alice. She’s the tallest mountain where I live in Seward, Alaska.
I look at her every single day and watch how she changes with the seasons. From blankets of white snow to green abundant grass. She has this elegant way of playing with light, sometimes she’s pink other times golden. I’ve learned a lot from this mountain... I’ve looked at her with tears streaming down my face and I’ve looked at her in pure bliss & joy. She teaches me to be strong, wise, and unshakable. I’ve climbed her in the wintry snow and I’ve climbed her on a warm summer day... and each time I spread my arms wide and think about how strong I have become... how I once thought climbing any mountain was so far from my reality. Alaska has taught me to be a better woman. It challenges me in the best way possible and it is often difficult. I live without the everyday conveniences of life... I trade all of it to be able to climb this mountain... to look at her in all her glory each new day and remember what a crazy, beautiful world we live in. Today I am grateful for Alaska!
