Mastering your mindset is probably the most important gift you can give yourself ๐ŸŒ
.
Recent studies by the world's leading neuro-scientists have proven that your decisions are made by your subconscious mind, up to an astonishing seven seconds before your conscious mind finally catches up with what is going on. The reason why the subconscious mind works so fast is that it is ruled by very basic emotions. It deals with a more simple set of rules than the part of your brain that is reading this right now ๐Ÿ“ฒ Love it. Hit it!
.
Most subconscious emotions involve a balance between the motivations of greed and fear, or, pleasure and pain. And there are many situations in which that isnโ€™t actually a problem ๐Ÿ’
.
When you start feeling overwhelmed by a situation, a thought or a person.. thatโ€™s when things become interesting! Your mental ability scrambles and you go from an eloquent individual to a gibbering wreck. Important meetings, public speaking, dates.. Most of us like to think of ourselves as reasonably good communicators. I know I do! And while we know how to speak and how to hold a conversation, this is what happens when emotions go haywire: your subconscious starts doing cartwheels, short circuits your analytical side of your brain, and usually triggers a flight or fight response and man doesnโ€™t it get fascinating! Sends you spinning ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ
.
Good news is that the human brain is malleable and with some training and practice, you can master both the conscious and subconscious sides. The first step is breathing.. then once youโ€™ve taken a step back, and calm the f#ck down, you can consciously work to understand why youโ€™re doing what youโ€™re doing.
.
Sounds fun? This little chicken thinks so ๐Ÿ˜Œ

FARM FACT: ๐Ÿ’ฉ Cow dung is a handy fertiliser, but did you know that in other parts of the world it is used as fuel, to build mud houses and in religious ceremonies? @blundstone
