Celebrated my 23rd trip around the sun by soakin in the views and soakin in some minerals. This weekend was a reminder to roll with the punches, every time I travel or go on a small trip I try to remind myself that shit happens and to keep an open mind, well this weekends trip was a shit show extravaganza. From blowing a tire 226 miles into our 227 mile journey, a failed call to AAA, having to flag someone down to use their tools to change a tire, not getting to stay in the look out we drove 4.5 hours to get to, forgetting medication and not being able to get more since it was prescription only, and having issues with our hotel booking. After two days of continuous frustrations I was about ready to throw in the towel, but instead Zack just let me cry it out and kept telling me things would get better and boy was he right. After checking in our room was upgraded and we had the most beautiful view of Vancouver from the 20th floor. The next day we decided to head to a hot spring located in the forest and I think that was probably my favorite trip to date, we soaked for hours and chatted with people as they came and went, when it got dark a couple that we’d spent the afternoon with turned on some music and set some candles out around the spring and we all laid in the hot water listening to music and looking up at the sky. It was a perfect ending to a not-so-perfect weekend.
