β€œA baby nursing at a mother's breast... is an undeniable affirmation of our rootedness in nature.” ~David Suzuki || coming up on 2.5 years of this breastfeeding journey ✨ I have moments of discomfort and wanting to have my body back to myself, but also moments of complete gratitude and blissfulness. Feeling you mama! My boy is 3.5 and we’re still growing strong! πŸ™πŸΌ I have fleeting thoughts of stopping but I just love our bond too much. I always said we’d keep going as long as it’s still a healthy relationship for us both and it still is πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™πŸΌ

I just stopped with my 3 year and 1 month old (one month after his 3rd bday) it was pretty much his decision for the first month but then missed it and wanted more and I said that milk was all gone now which was was so hard to see his disappointment but also just part of him processing it I guess (like having second thoughts/ remorse?) anyway, crazy to see this pic now that I’m done after nursing all these years!

I love seeing how mamas nurse their babes, it makes me think how I’m gonna take care of my own son/daughter when the time comes! I’m just nervous that my future baby will be like me when I was little (according to my mom) and refuses to latch. 😒
