Hey gorgeous, lift your head up. Discoloration doesn't have to dull your sparkle. This lovely client of mine is way too young and gorgeous to have this type of discoloration and melasma. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
If you're prone to discoloration, please make sure that you are not overly aggressive with your skin and skincare routine. Less is more. Often too much stimulation can cause an inflammatory responce in the skin making it sensitive and prone to a host of issues. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Scrubbing your face with an aggressive scrub or even an electric cleansing brush, can often cause more harm than good. Also, hot water should be avoided when washing your face, and using acne agents that cause massive dehydration like Benzoyl Peroxide and Retin-A, can definitely cause more discoloration if you're not religious about applying and reapplying your sunscreen everyday of the year. Alright, that's all I got for today. Remember to always stay gorgeous. Much love, Cody M.

@pinkpyrex

@montarboskincare thank you for you help Cody.

@montarboskincare

@pinkpyrex hello! You can either get a powder sunscreen to brush on anytime, reapply sunscreen on top of makeup if its light enough like mine or something similar, or use a pressed power that contains spf.

@pinkpyrex

@montarboskincare if we have to reapply sunscreen through out the day. Can you suggest how to apply while wearing heavy foundation?

@montarboskincare

@eatlottacupcakz I think you'll be fine to stop but use your C serum and AHA. You'll probably be wearing tons of spf and need to clean your skin well with AHA and the C used at least during the day will act as an antioxidant to help prevent sun damage.

@montarboskincare

@eatlottacupcakz hello love. No it helps reduce and prevent it. Especially if you use a C serum during the day. It will make you more sensitive in the sun through and if don't Apply enough spf and reapply it, you will burn your skin and cause possible discoloration over time.

@eatlottacupcakz

Does Retin-A help to reduce hyper-pigmentation in addition to reducing fine lines and wrinkles? Or can it cause more pigmentations if you're not careful?

@eatlottacupcakz

@montarboskincare Hola! Yes to everyday sunscreen cuz I'm using Retin-A. I'm going to Aruba this Sunday where it's hot hot hot. Should I hold the Retin-A for now until I get back so I don't damage my skin further? And should I also stop using any acids like vitamin C and glycolics?
