“We were airlifted from the Westbury area so that we could be taken to Ellington Field Station. One, because my brother is disabled and two, because actually this is the second time our house flooded...” Stephanie recounted her experience of being evacuated with her brother, Stevie, whom she cares for full-time. @tatamolicious .09 cents. Really? I feel sorry for you. Seriously.

@suzannemarigold what cynicism? Did you not see where the CEO was questioned on how much of the money that is donated actually goes to help victims? She told couldn't even give @cbsthismorning a straightforward answer. Only .$09 reaches the those affected. Why don't you be an advocate for the people and ask the Red Cross to do what is right by the people? It won't be long before people stop making such large donations to them. What they are doing is not right. We will continue to volunteer and help but just NOT with the Res Cross

Suzanne Green

Commenters - Don't let your cynicism be an excuse for not helping. Keep up the good work volunteers. #redcross

@inspirabag it's a shame you support scammers that use tragedies to pocket the donated money
