Self-proclaimed “cow photographer” Frida Isadåra Årseth (@theedora) took a Saturday morning walk through the Norwegian countryside for #WHPwindows. “I soon discovered the old brewing house on the farm with these beautiful windows,” she says. “I knew I had to photograph a cow — this calf’s name is Emily — behind that beautiful window.”

767 Days and Counting | Photograph by Sam Gulino
“When I left of Antarctica, I assumed it would be a one-and-done trip — going once would be enough,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Sam Gulino. “Within a day of arriving, I realized I was wrong. Antarctica is a place that permanently changes you. I left with new understands of beauty, and more importantly, of myself and what I am capable of. Every day, I look at this photo that I took in December 2017 and count the days until I return to Antarctica in February 2020. [This photo] was taken in the Lemaire Channel aboard the National Geographic Explorer.”

“Beautiful capture Sam! I really like the use of space to show the vastness of the landscape. Including a bit of the ship bow and travelers adds perspective and a pop of color. I’m very happy to hear you had a great time, and that you’re planning to revisit this truly special place with us!” — @natgeoexpeditions Digital Media Specialist Lindsay Kuczera (@linkuczera).

Photo by @danwestergren // #sponsored by @visit_arizona // Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado river near Page, Arizona is one of the best scenic spots in the area. I wasn’t sure what I would find photographically when I arrived one hour before sunset. Most shots I’ve seen of the bend these days are blended HDR exposures of the canyon. Not being a fan of HDR I was hoping to avoid that technique. Turns out that if you photograph just before sunset, the light bounces off the cliff below your feet and fills in the adjacent rock wall. An added bonus to this approach is that the clouds are reflected in the river, adding another element to the shot. // Even once you see it in person, you may still doubt it’s real. Plan your [un]real Arizona getaway. #VisitArizona
