Sixteen-year-old vegan chef and health activist Haile Thomas (@hailethomas) received the nickname “Hurricane Haile” as a baby — she was notorious for throwing pots and pans all over the place. “In some ways I still live up to that name. I always make a huge mess when I’m in my creative cooking zone!” she says. Today, the 12th-grade student from New York City is constantly mixing up fresh recipes and offering new nutrition tips. “I really try to send messages that bring awareness to the many topics that are important to me, but also hopefully contribute to the health, happiness and overall positive growth of our global community.”
This year, Haile is celebrating #Thanksgiving with her extended family. “My mom, dad, sister and I have been doing a plant-based dinner for the past three years,” she explains. “We are so glad to get a commitment from our aunts, uncles and cousins to go veg-based this year and celebrate together.”

Looks great but as a 16 yr old I have to give you a lot of credit on making a cake so beautiful. But as a mom or should I say a very proud mom go to be a chief. My son is a chief and a very good one. He went to the CIA School in NY and did his internship in VA at the Green Bryer when he was finished with school. He worked in NY for some time and then an amazing gift was at his feet 3 states and one country (Australia) were all calling him to come work for them. And honey you are still young and you do have a talent. And what happened with my son can and should happen to you. My son had his pick of where he wanted to go, so this is what he did with the 3 States and the 1 Country he asked each owner to write him a letter explaining why they want him to work for them. And what would be his salary to start, also would there be any chances to move up in their company? They all wrote back to him the salary’s were unbelievable. He is now over seeing 3 restaurants but he just got another promotion. I really hope you decide to go to chief school as I said before you already have talent. Now you need school to make you great. Then watch your life change for the greater. Good luck 🍀
