“At a special session the Navajo Council rejected a proposal from the Confluence Partners, who wanted to bring 10,000 Tourists per day to an area containing sacred sites, grazing land, and traditional homelands to hundreds of Navajo families. The developers wanted to build a resort that would include a gondola tram that collided into the confluence of the Colorado and little Colorado river’s in Grand Canyon national Park. Ultimately the council voted 16–2 to kill the measure.” Congratulations and many thanks to everyone that fought for seven years to kill this monstrosity. 🙏 photo by STC.
