Photo by @chamiltonjames // Captured #withgalaxy S8, produced with @samsungmobileusa // A coati sniffs a monkey in a small village in the Brazilian Amazon. Both the coati and the monkey are pets and both live in the same house with the same family. Although many people in the Amazon keep wild animals as pets, some families seem to keep more than most. These two lived in a household with seven monkeys, one peccary, an agouti, a parrot and two coatis - along with dogs, cats and chickens. The monkeys had a different relationship with the humans they lived with - they were very close, sleeping in their hammocks and eating with them. The coatis had a different relationship. Coatis are super inquisitive and also fairly aggressive, so they were kept more at a distance. They are fun and beautiful animals to hang out with but always seem to be assessing situations to see how they can exploit them.
