In the Mud | Photograph by Anirban Mandal
In India, mud wrestling is a fierce sport called Kushti. #YourShotPhotographer Anirban Mandal explains that the sport is actually a way of life, passed down from teacher to student while living in communal residences called akharas. He says, "The brotherhood of the men living in Akharas practice strict diet, discipline and sacrifice from distractions in order to prepare their bodies and minds, learning techniques, gathering strength and speed for the sport."

Photo by Robbie Shone @shonephoto | In Ittoqqortoormiit we sat down to discuss options for sailing on with the boat. We had maps of Wegener Halvø peninsula, up-to-date satellite images showing the sea-ice extent and nautical charts with limited soundings. The satellite images showed that accessing the fjords around the peninsula was impossible because of the sea ice. In addition the nautical charts showed that there was limited information, meaning the true nature of the depth and terrain of the fjord was still rather a mystery. Onward travel to Wegener Halvø peninsula by boat seemed highly
unlikely at this point. We had to look at other options... @greenland_caves #EAGRE18

Video by @la.luna.asmr

While countless people find relief for tension and anxiety through whispered voices or softly tapping fingernails in ASMR videos, Penny Clarke (@la.luna.asmr) shares a different source of calm: hands squeezing soap from brilliantly colored sponges. “I’ve always found cleaning a great help with anxiety, which is something that affects my life every day,” says the self-described “full-time mum” (with a degree in criminology) from England. And as gratifying as viewers find her videos, it’s clear that making them comforts Penny, too. “The combination of water sounds and the clean element is the perfect thing to help me relax.” Penny is also grateful for the new creative outlet she’s found in the ASMR community. “I have never been a creative person,” she says, “but I feel like these videos are my art, and I want to keep improving and getting better all the time.” See more of Penny’s soothing sponge sounds — today on our story and new to our IGTV channel.

Video by @renan_ozturk // Everest just after the 2014 tragic avalanche that killed 16 high-altitude workers. The glowing mass of tents forms Everest Base Camp, which completely assembles each spring amidst the moving glacial ice and rubble and disassembles at the end of the season. Each tent platform is painstakingly carved out of the ice by the Sherpas before the foreigners arrive, but once complete, it's a veritable city with international chefs prepping sushi, giant party tents with glowing TV screens and libraries, and blanketed wi-fi networks.
