Vegas, 2018
The hardest thing for me is to get a dog to just stand there and look at me. They all want to do dog things, like sit, lay down, play, run and jump.
I get it.
What I’m after is that moment, that pause, a connection that can say so much about the soul and spirit of an animal.
We had spent the better part of two hours with Vegas, a very spirited 14 year-old Greyhound.
There was this moment where she was alone on my backdrop and looked back to see her owner for just a second. Just a little reassurance that he would be ok while she posed for us.

Thanks again for following along.

Umm my dog is a puppy and has this little bump under her belly like this dog and I hope it does not get bigger and do you know what it is?

@morenasix

Wow🧡

@chiquitita_c

So sweet. I think you captured the perfect moment ❤️

@atleighann

That's a really good dog. My dog does this when we go hiking--runs ahead and then comes back to check on me. So even though he's an asshole, I know he loves me.

@jandgirls

These are all wonderful. Souls captured perfectly. Thank you for these dog pix 😍

@red.daring

Really enjoying this series! You should try to photograph a Pharaoh Hound— I’ve only see one in person once but it stuck with me. I asked the owner if he was a good dog and he said “no” and smiled.

@nicole.drazin

This one made me cry. Nothing like the love of an old dog.

@vincentjmusi

@stina_starr Thanks - we may be coming to NYC - write me at the link in my bio if you are interested. My work is self-funded through private commissions.

@ben_mclaren_ these pics r cool

@mels_snaps

@hallie_gro I am vehemently opposed to breeders and puppy mills. I don’t think any new cats or dogs should be made (born) until all of the shelters are empty. But this was a pleasant surprise that just goes to show, never assume.

@kenzrad

It’s a greyhound version of Dahlia! @amanda__adnama
