📝Career Goal: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Dr. Nurse!)📝

✅Why Did You Choose This School? ✅

I toured all the Florida schools, but none really stuck out to me. I had some interest in UF because 1️⃣my Dad went there and it was the 2️⃣best school in the state. Ended up going to 3️⃣a dual enrollment program at UF and fell in love with the 4️⃣campus, school, and 5️⃣atmosphere.

✅Pros: ✅

The University of Florida 1️⃣name and a receiving a degree from here both carry some serious weight. I met people who recognized the school/brand all over. Employers and professional schools know that Gator grads are well equipped.
2️⃣SPORTS. Need I say more?
3️⃣It's a big school. Never found your group of people in high school? You'll definitely find them here. Tons of involvement and leadership opportunities too.
4️⃣Value. If you're a Florida resident, you are getting an excellent education from one of the nation's best schools for a really good price. •

❗️Cons: ❗️

1️⃣Parking. It's a pain, but it's also just a fact of life. I'm worse than most but I probably got 8 tickets during my time here.
2️⃣Administration. Many students had some unpleasant encounters with UF administration. There will definitely be times where you feel like you're just a number. My suggestion is to limit your interaction with them if you can, because sometimes resolving an issue is a pain.

✅If you could give your “high-school self” advice what would that be?✅

1️⃣Be yourself. In college there's no need to impress anyone.
2️⃣Be a leader, don't be a follower. Do what you want to do.
3️⃣Make friends and go have fun with them. Four years will pass quicker than you know.
4️⃣Don't stress about school, you'll always survive in the end. You may even look back and laugh at how silly you were to worry about something.
5️⃣Undecided? Do what you love and pursue interests.
5️⃣College really isn't that hard. Put in the work and you'll be rewarded for it. Figure out your balance of school vs fun.
6️⃣And finally, once you realize your dream, don't give up on it.
