Q: Is there a character whose hype leaves you scratching your head?
.
This tote is beautiful, this character...not so much. πŸ˜‚ Don't get me wrong, Bardugo did a great job creating a nuanced villain, you can definitely see in his backstory why he became who he was. I just don't get the appeal. Sure he's gorgeous and powerful, but what are might and beauty without love and respect? (The verdict is still out on Rhys and, as I've yet to read ACOTAR.)

@papertea.and.bookflowers I like him as a villain, he's very twisted and interesting.

@thewordn3rd

@iwriteinbooks I like them both, but I like these a tiny bit better I think.

@papertea.and.bookflowers

I love The Darkling! But I usually like the twisted characters. I don’t get the hype about all the Cassandra Clare characters especially Clary and Jace.

@thewordn3rd

@estersalgado22 We're opposite ends of the spectrum, I guess.

@estersalgado22

Whaaat? I love The Darkling! I hate Mal and I don’t get how people like him.πŸ˜‚

@iwriteinbooks

I love these covers so much better than the ones I have

@thewordn3rd

@bookishexpat Same with Maven.

@bookishexpat

I really like the Darkling, especially after reading the novellas and after a re-read of the series.
But I don’t get the obsession with Kaz. Or Maven (from Red Queen$.
