so we got the ok to start walking outside and longer. I guess bone looks good hower cartilage between the bones on the knee did not form as good as it should at this point, doc said might be that she is older. So we have to start getting her move more and also some calcium supplements as well. No swimming or physio yet :) on the plus side she lost another 1 kg so total weightloss since injury 2.4 kg!! resting now after her first real walk after 6 weeks!!! #dogkneesurgery #tplosurgery #dogrecovery

@matka84

@betydasilvad i give her glucosamin with some hyaluronic oil already , i have looked at the green lipped mussels as i have not seen it before and it looks great. thx for the tip we will have to try it too

@betydasilvad

I use glucosamine with chondroitin inI one supplement and green lipped mussels with some cod liver oil or salmon oil and it has been great for Joy for many years. Best wishes

@terryruns

@matka84 hope the calcim helps!

@matka84

@terryruns that is one thing I have been for a while and you are right its makes a difference. i guess she just has lower calcium levels than most dogs

@terryruns

Do you supplement with glucosomene? I don't know if it would help her cartilage but we gave it to our lab as he had pretty bad arthritis. It made a huge difference to his quality of life.
