Islamic Inspiration

Allah SWT says in the Quran: “Say, ‘O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Surah Az-Zumar: 39:53)⠀

Allah isn’t calling out to the righteous, pious or the scholars. He is talking to the ones who have crossed the limits in sinning. He still calls them “MY slaves.” Meaning there’s still a relationship with Allah. ⠀

Allazeena 'asrafoo 'alaa 'anfusihim'⠀

Allah uses the word “asrafoo” - the ones who have wronged themselves. Not just wronged, they've crossed all lines against themselves. They are self-sabotaging, self-imploding. Allah still forgives them. Do not ever, ever, ever despair from the mercy of Allah. Don't you dare ever lose hope in the mercy of Allah! He and only He alone is the one who is Constantly Forgiving, and Constantly Merciful.
