The Suspense Junkie

REFRESHING MEMOIR
I first saw the book on my Instagram feed and I was like, “Wow! He writes.” I’ve always known Trevor Noah as a South African Comedian. I had no clue that he had written a book. So I found this an interesting discovery. My curiosity wasn’t tilting towards a wondering about his history. For someone to write a memoir, I feel there must be something interesting and worth reading about his or her history. Many I’ve seen but not read feel cliché…Grass to grace story… A journey to success riddled with holes dug by suffering and struggle. It’s good because there is always something to learn from everyone’s experience. But… there’s nothing I love more than a refreshing edge to something everyone is doing. I think this is the first memoir I’m buying and it was simply out of curiosity for his writing style. I wanted to read a comedian’s point of view. I wanted to see what he had to offer. I felt there would be something different about the way he would tell his story. I wasn’t disappointed. Call me genius when it comes to buying good books.
