Video by @amivitale | Splish, splash, it's mud bath time! All the elephant calves roll, loll or kick up some fun at Reteti Elephant Sanctuary (@r.e.s.c.u.e) in northern Kenya. The sanctuary rescues and cares for elephant calves who were orphaned as a result of drought, human-wildlife conflict and poaching. When they are old enough, the elephants will be reintroduced into the wild, where they have a good chance of reuniting with the herds they were initially separated from.
This oasis where orphans grow up, learning to be wild so that one day they can rejoin their herds, is as much about the people as it is about elephants. Learn more about how you can get involved and help support this vital initiative by following @email@example.com & @conservationorg
