Growing up and traveling to far-off places instilled a love of landscape in artist Zaria Forman (@zarialynn). “My mother was a fine-art photographer, she was very interested in really remote landscapes and getting as far away from cities and people as she could for her photography. Every summer for about one month, we would travel to pretty remote places,” says Zaria, who is based in Brooklyn, New York, and documents climate change through her pastel work. “We take action to make decisions based on our emotions more than anything else. I have this special ability with my talent as an artist to tap into emotions, because that’s what art does.”
