. . . e m o t i o n s . . . My youngest made this emoji wheel. This childled idea makes my ❤️ burst with pride and happiness.... Such a lovely way to learn more about emotions, how to express them and how to cope with them.
. . . s e n d ❤️ . . . It broke my heart when I’ve heard today that Arielle @artcampla lost her husband to mental illness last week. She’s someone dear I’ve connected with here - a mother of two girls and if only we could take away some of the pain she feels. Arielle - you’re not alone. I’ve lit a candle for you tonight - far away, but it shines bright for you ✨
She’s self employed - running a small business - a mobile art studio, there is no pension, disability or life insurance. A GoFundMe page has been created to help her rebuild her life as a family of three. The link to donate is on my profile.
If you can’t donate, please share the GoFoundMe page so we can get as many people as possible to donate.
. . . l o o s e p a r t s . . . I’ve seen it over and over again - how loose parts in an environment will empower our creativity! It helps children inspire imagination and creativity on their own terms and in their own unique way. Loose parts can be moved, combined, taken apart and put back together. The kids are the direction. I came home after a walk today and found my three kids building and playing in their den - all with no adults interfering.... This because play is something we value as important as eating and sleeping in our family and I can see how those building blocks affect them in a way I find so important!! Inspired by architect Simon Nicholson who is behind this wonderful term... #keepplaying#playmatters#letchildrenplay#unschooling#slowparenting#playandgrow#leg#looseparts#raisingcreativekids#creative#unpluggedchildhood#letthemplay#openendedplay
