This is the movie I wish everyone would see... while there are so many wonderful films, this stands so tall, with an ensemble of some of the finest actors and storytellers. Directed with such nuance by the extraordinary Dee Rees, and shot (exquisitely)by Rachel Morrison, together they refused to visually romanticize the realities of the postwar south, and instead told a cinematic story of such truth and beauty that it's impossible to look away... additionally capturing some of the most poetical, and yet deeply honest performances I've seen. Watch this movie, people. #mudbound
I got a devastating email from @nicoleburkead our 1st Ad on AHS, asking me to get the word out about her friend's children- Please help if you are able. My friends daughters are missing! Please help find them. A mudslide devoured their home at 3am.

This was a great night and one that went by so fast, I never really had a chance to take it in. Today we are using our collective voices to shine some much needed light on issues that have affected all of us in some form or another, and I just wanted to take a moment and also say that today is a celebration of what drives us creatively... so congratulations to all the nominees and I hope you all take the time to savor these moments, as they are rare indeed. #timesup@goldenglobes
