I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7). Rest now Rev. Yap, we will carry on the good fight for you. Thank you for everything. #methodist #revyap #lgbt #rip #singapore

At Rev’s Yap wake when Susan, Rev Yap’s eldest daughter named organizations that were the closest to Rev Yap’s heart. We are so blessed to have Rev Yap appear in so many of our Pink Dot videos, for championing rights for the marginalized, for being unafraid to speak his mind and stand up for equality. RIP Rev Yap. #revyap #methodist #singapore #lgbt

Our community lost a great man today. RIP Rev Yap Kim Hao. “The LGBT community in Singapore today lost a dear friend and advocate. Rev Dr Yap Kim Hao, who is a long-time LGBT rights advocate and the first Asian bishop of the Methodist Church in Singapore and Malaysia from 1968 to 1973, passed away on Thursday, 16 November, at the age of 88. We extend our deepest condolences to his wife and family.

We acknowledge with gratitude the support and affirmation Rev Dr Yap has publicly shown towards the LGBT community in Singapore. He was also the Pastoral Advisor of Free Community Church, an inclusive and affirming church in Singapore; the former Vice-President of the Inter-Religious Organisation (Singapore) and former Convener of Singapore Interfaith Network on AIDS.” To read our entire tribute, please click the link in our bio 👆🏻 #lgbt #singapore #christians #reverend #rip

“the fact that it featured two girls breaking up concerned me as I was afraid that I might have a very "male gaze" upon the film, also the same-gender relationship topic had been done in so many different ways already.
But working with her on the script I found that my personal way into the story was the idea of the relationship breaking down from very fundamental differences within each other that neither characters could reconcile with and not due to their sexuality.”

We would like to thank the amazing NGOs and women (and men!) who worked so hard to produce the CEDAW report and presenting it in Geneva, posing difficult questions to the our government, gathering like-minded NGOs who believed in equality for women of all race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity etc. Thank you dear activists! 📸: Jean Chong of Sayoni. #lbtwomen #cedaw68

Thank you to the CEDAW committee, groups such as AWARE @awaresingapore and Sayoni for all the hard work they have put in! There were a lot non-answers for the gov’t unfortunately, but thank you for raising these questions and asking the gov’t for accountability!

Lifeline is a peer-led, non-religious support group for gay and bisexual men who are recovering or looking to recover from drug addiction. It is not a program of recovery by itself, but rather serves as a bridge and an introduction to the options available. Each cycle lasts for 8 weeks and they meet every Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This program is completely free of charge, but donations to help cover our costs are welcome as well.
The next cycle commences on 22 October 2017 and if you would like to be a part of this program or know anyone who will benefit from this, please send an email to lifelinegrpsg@gmail.com to reserve your spot.

Congratulations to fellow Singaporean Jack and his British husband Stephen on being the last couple to get married at the British Embassy in Berlin! As Germany has legalized gay marriages, same sex couples will be able to get married in Germany as of 1st October. Hence the embassy will no longer offer this service anymore. Congrats again guys!
