Obviously this isn’t really the GOATs, but they’re a close second! This weekend I was privileged to see “RAIN: A Tribute to The Beatles” in Boston. The Beatles were probably the first thing I listened to as a young kid (combined with a hearty blend of Neil Young, and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers). The coolest part is that these guys played all the hits; from their debut album Please Please Me in ’63 all the way to Abbey Road (‘69) & Let It Be (‘70)... which was SWEET b/c The Beatles stopped playing live shows in late 1966 prior to Sgt. Pepper. Shoutout the wonderful @micaelatobs (thanks for the tix)! If you close your eyes it really sounds genuinely like The Beatles. Can’t imagine it was far off, these dudes put on a stellar performance. “Hey Jude” for the Encore finale was absolutely bananas. So much appreciation for what they did for music, and equally as appreciative that RAIN keeps it alive.
