That is a wrap for the 2019 SIP series. Great ending to the series with some tight racing today. We’ll get results posted and if you missed out on any series prizes, just reach out to us. We get it sorted out. Thanks to those who came out to cheer everyone on and to those racers who continue to support the series. Hope to see everyone back in 2020. #downeastracing
Many thanks to @hpfeif for all his efforts to organize and host the SIP. Gives up every Sunday in April and May to make this happen. Couldn’t do it without him! And many thanks to all the racers who continually bring energy and enthusiasm to the races week after week. #downeastracing
Good day for Downeast Racing at the Quabbin Reservoir Road Race. @efpitney and Team ERRACE’s Tim Ahearn got away early and built up a 6 minute advantage before Tim road away with the win. Well done #downeastracing 🥈🚴♂️
We know everyone was concerned about @efpitney after the Joe Martin TT. he looked a bit out of sorts. Well don’t fret, he recovered nicely and pressed on during the crit to capture the Masters event title at #JMSR. He mopped up a couple of field primes from the young Cat 2s along the way as well. 3 events in just over 24 hours for the boys, time for a few days of downtime. See everyone at the Crit series back in Maine! #downeastracing
Oh what 24 hrs does..... Yesterday @efpitney was all smiles soaking in the sun. This morning he buried himself in service of teammate @zmyerowitz for 73 miles and then the boys had to turn around 3 hrs later and pedal the Devil’s Den 3 mile uphill TT at the Joe Martin Stage Race. The right hand pic is right after the TT when Eliot collapsed on the tailgate of their vehicle. Boys should sleep well tonight!
Two brave souls made the trip to northwest Arkansas for some warm weather miles and the Joe Martin Stage Race. The battle starts tomorrow with an AM 73 mile road race then a PM 3 mile uphill TT. Let’s hope the boys packed their good legs! #downeastracing
It’s been a busy morning at the Chris Hines “Sunshine” crit in Charlestown, Rhode Island. After an early start (and even earlier departure time) Mark Carpenter pipped both the Cat 4 and Cat 3/4 fields in two separate mad dashes for the line. His raw power on full display! Joe, Ta and Eliot also rolled many laps in their respective fields, mixing it up at the pointy end of the 50+ and P1/2/3 fields. Still more to go with the hotly contested 40+ event still remaining. Off to a strong start #downeastracing
