Congratulations to the new administration!

Indigenous Youth are the future. Today we honor the past and the future. #IndigenousPeoplesDay

On September 3rd, 2016 Amy Goodman captured live footage of demonstrators being attacked by private security guards and attack dogs. She fought the law, and won. In her words, "The state's attorney must respect freedom of the press and the First Amendment." Thank you for standing with us, Amy.

“The next time when you see a bunch of white boys in polo shirts screaming about taking their country back, and you want to scream, ‘It’s not our country, you stole it from Native Americans, and when they had a peaceful protest at Standing Rock we shot at them with rubber bullets, but we let you chinless turds march through the streets with semi-automatic weapons." - Tina Fey, Saturday Night Live
How do you stand in solidarity? #Charlottesville

We continue to stand strong. #NoDAPL

Standing Rock proudly stands behind our youth activists for all that they've done. As we look back on the year, we remember the love and healing that camp from Oceti Sakowin Camp. We thank all of you for standing tall besides us. We thank our community and indigenous communities everywhere for showing us how resilient you truly are time after time. #NoDAPL

Standing Rock Sioux Tribe files brief asking for pipeline shutdown during more thorough environmental review.

Recognizing August 5, 2017 as Water Protection Day. Thank you for standing with us. #SRST #WaterProtection #DAPL

Today is a monumental victory for us all. The court ruled that the Trump administration indeed overlooked the environmental review. There will be an additional briefing on whether to shut down #DAPL
We are beyond grateful for the court’s ruling, and now more than ever it’s our time for justice.

Every resistance leads with resiliency and passion. Never underestimate the power of prayer, love and compassion. #noDAPL

"This is not over. We continue to fight the pipeline in court and await a decision that adequately reflects the rule of law established in this country – one so often flouted by this administration. However, we will never stop fighting for our planet and future generations; this resiliency is part of who we are as a tribe.” -Chairman Dave Archambault II

We are greatly honored to have received the Wallace Global Fund’s Henry A. Wallace Award in recognition of our tenacity to stop the Dakota Access pipeline. We are also thankful to be recipients of Wallace Global Fund's grant, which will support our ongoing efforts to stop #DAPL and will help us transition into a renewable energy filled future.

Today, the Dakota Access Pipeline became fully operational.

This pipeline has had three spills already, and now that it is operational it will have more.

We will not let this deter us from protecting millions of Americans' drinking water. We will not stop until oil stops flowing through our lands.

You can still make an impact!#DivestNow from Wells Fargo and let them know that their involvement in the Dakota Access pipeline is unacceptable.

Happy #EarthDay! We fight for #UnciMaka (Grandmother Earth). We fight to protect our drinking water and our land. This is our natural born right. We will continue to fight for the preservation of Earth, so future generations can thrive.

Together, we have accomplished so much. Our fight is not over. #RiseWithStandingRock and we will continue to challenge #DAPL in the courts.

Today, we applaud BNP Paribas for selling their shares in the loan that funds #dapl.
"The Tribe will continue to pursue divestment, shareholder advocacy and other tactics to show that Energy Transfer Partners’ conduct is unacceptable business practice. The power of people speaking out against the Dakota Access Pipeline is greatly appreciated and today’s announcement by BNP Paribas is proof the fight continues and we look forward to further progress with the investment community, as well as in the courts."

Yesterday we received news that oil is now present in #DAPL, and oil flow is pending. We acknowledge this setback, but will not let it deter us from our ultimate goal. We will continue this battle in court.
We are asking you all to stand with us and voice your concerns about the detrimental effects such projects may have.

"With construction of DAPL nearing completion, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is calling on all investors behind DAPL to take action to address this blatant violation of tribal sovereignty. The remaining banks in the DAPL syndicate include Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, BayernLB, BBVA, BNP Paribas, Citibank, Credit Agricole, ICBC, Intesa Sanpaolo, Mizuho Bank, Natixis, Societe Generale, SMBC, SunTrust, TD Securities, and Wells Fargo."

A permit has been issued authorizing the construction of Keystone XL pipeline's new route. TransCanada's pipeline will cut through treaty lands of the Great Sioux Nation. We are profoundly disappointed in this decision and will stand in solidarity with the many tribes that the Keystone XL pipeline threatens.
We will continue onward with our battle to see that no pipeline in the future will poison us, our land or our water.
