Today, one of my earliest students who comes to my place an hour or more before the class, saw me taking photo of this “Ponzu” and she was laughing at what I did.
By the way, “Ponzu” is a kind of Japanese sauce made primarily of soy sauce and citrus juice. I love using this for my sushi, sashimi, Tonkatsu and some other dishes as my dipping sauce.
When her other classmates came, she told them about the “Ponzu”. One asked, “Teacher, why did you take photos of that Ponzu? Ponzu?”🤭 I replied, “You can never find this kind in ordinary supermarkets. Have you ever seen this?” “Right. I’ve never seen this kind,” she answered.
I took photos of this because I wanted to try it.
We had “Tonkatsu” for dinner with the “Ponzu” and my daughter exclaimed, “WOW! This Ponzu tastes way too different. Yummy!”
