Was lucky to be able to visit the permanent museum of one of my favorite artists #YayoiKusama this spring. It was the opening of her second collection entitled "Here, Now, I have Reached the Grandest Start of My Life."
This one was sitting atop of the museum; a large, glittery pumpkin with an open view of the sky above. Pumpkins are vital to Kusama's career as her association with her dotted art. I found myself mesmerized with all the visual stimulus she has for the floors that came before this, (the entire exhibit is experienced by floors) so seeing this view felt like a breath of fresh air (literally and figuratively), similar to a palate-cleansing finisher of an indulgent gourmet meal.
