As the hotpot season arriving, it's time to gather friends up and have a good time! The Suppa is located conveniently in Causeway Bay, inside a building along Tang Lung Street. The shop was filled with Hong Kong's 70s theme with mesmerizing leon lights and nostalgic gadgets.
Ordered their set for two which was more than enough for two person. Right after ordering I was served with a wide selection of sauces and condiments and had as much as I wanted.
The Tofu milky and papaya tomato fish soup bases was very fragrant and full of flavour, I didn't really need that dipping sauces for extra flavor. The hand cut beef was thicker than those you have on regular hotpot places, which was also slight meatier and more tender. Their signature ''Three Kinds of Treasure Balls'' (water chestnut with beef tendon, chinese preserved sausage with fish bone and salted egg with minced shrimp) were very interesting. The flavour was innovative and unlike any ''balls'' I have tasted before.
The size of the Fried Bean Curd was just right and tasted fresh. The vegetable package contained two kinds of vegetables with shitake mushroom, daikon and corn.
Everything was very fresh, gimmicky and flavorsome. I will definitely come again with more friends!
