“I’m super grateful to be able to consider myself a practicing artist,” says 22-year-old Eleanor Barnes (@snitchery). “I’ve always been involved in fine arts, so to fall into an industry where I’m able to expand on that artistry in a really unorthodox canvas is wicked.” Eleanor is known for her inventive and vibrant looks that push the envelope, playing with color and props. “I’ve gone to my local corner store here in New York City with pink face paint, a ridiculous wig and sculpted horns. That’s about as extreme as makeup can get, and no one bothered me for it. I think it’s a good practice to remember that people are typically more worried about what they’re doing themselves than they are about you, and that authenticity can be spotted a mile away. If you think a rainbow cut crease looks awesome, chances are other people will too!” 🌈
Today, Eleanor is going live to connect with her friends and followers, while showing off some exciting new updates, including a questions sticker and ability to add photos and videos from your camera roll to your live video. Photo by Cory Richards @coryrichards // #sponsored by @IncredibleIndia // Exploring Ladakh is more like time travel than anything else. It pulls you backward in to a quieter time and place that is both un-wanting and arresting. New roads end and take you down old roads, which in turn give way to trails, and then nothing at all. It’s in those places that the full beauty unfolds, awakened by its quiet vastness. Stakna Gompa rises above the Indus Valley dwarfed by the mountains of the Leh District, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir State, Northern India. The monastery was founded in the 16th century and was named ‘Stakna’, translated as ‘Tiger’s Nose’ because of the shape of the hill upon which it was built. It was founded by a Bhutanese monk and scholar, Chosje Jamyang Palkar. // From mountain tops to seacoasts, India is filled with breathtaking landscapes, amazing wildlife, and untamed experiences you’ll never forget. Plan your adventure of a lifetime now in #UntamedIndia.

“This aerial image, taken from a plane at sunset, features Discovery Bay, California, a waterfront community built on a network of man-made dikes surrounded by freshwater, except for the southeast quadrant, which comprises of the Discovery Bay Country Club golf course,” writes #YourShotPhotorapher Jassen Todorov. “Some homes have private docks with access to the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta." This photo was selected for the December 14, 2018 edition of our Photos of the Week series.

“I always love your aerial moments, but this one is one of my favorites because of the magical reflections that change throughout the frame. The punch of warmth from the clouds has an awesome contrast to the neutral tones on the neighborhoods. Simply lovely!” — @natgeoyourshot Associate Photo Editor Kristen McNicholas (@kemcnicholas)

“Last Christmas I gave you my heart... Tula, our rescue, under last years Christmas tree. It was her first Christmas and she was lucky to spend it with her big new family together. I think she knew how lucky she was and is. Looking forward to the holidays and all the cuddles she will get.” writes @wildwildpack
