I am not fond of goodbyes or endings, despite the implication of growth and success or new beginnings. I believe in the romanticism of a forever, but a fresh canvas gives a surge of creative adrenaline. A farewell, in its own way, carries a sense of permanence that seems as entrapping as a forever. So as life propels us forward into a new direction, new chapter, I say I’m so grateful to have had a memorable year in Minneapolis with my Soulmate. We explored almost every corner, we danced while cooking dinner, we laughed uncontrollably, we argued like kids, we held hands through the stress, and we dreamed gazing into each other’s eyes. I will miss you and your 10,000 lakes Minnesota, but we are not moving on, just moving forward. Next chapter, Pittsburgh.
