Little Bear/Blanca Traverse in the Sange de Cristo mountain range in southwestern Colorado. There are four awesome traverses in Colorado and this is the more difficult of the four. More info here: https://www.merelyafleshwound.com/mountaineering/sangre-range/blanca-group/
Finally accomplished my NYE resolution. It was a tough 14er to climb, but happy to do it with some awesome friends along the way! #14ersofcolorado
Spent the day bagging 3 14ers and just taking in the scenic moments around every bend. I love it when the wildflowers start to bloom at higher elevations, the mountains take on a new magical feel for just a few months every year.
this selfie brought to you by sleep deprivation, hunger, and all the right angles .
what a crazy rewarding but absolutely whirlwind of a day it has been got home last night from closing the bar at 2:30am to my roomie saying she was leaving to hike a 14er that morning. not just any 14er, but Mt Elbert, which is pretty much the only one I am truly down get on up like a James Brown song. Also it was summer solstice anddd HIKE NAKED DAY! .
more pictures of butts and babes tomorrow; for now i must rest my tired lobster legs and go BACK to sleep since i only got 20 minutes of it last night
I'm going to Colorado to camp this weekend, and in case the fact that I'm already most of the way through packing doesn't make it evident that I'm really excited.... I'm really excited.
Rocky Mountains, here I come!
[No, Nova isn't going with me.]
#tbt to this sunrise shot of the saddle between Mt. Democrat and Mt. Cameron. Summiting four 14ers in one day was a pretty cool experience!
