Wisdom tip: If we can follow ancient schedules, we can command better results~Pst. Daniel Odemejakpor "11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
12 But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
13 So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was hear" (Ezra 3:11-13) I have discovered that success in the eyes of one is failure in the eyes of others. It is scriptural that the glory of the latter should surpass the former (Haggai 2:9). The foundation of the house of God had just been laid. And the younger generation began to rejoice, seeing it as a success but the ancient men who were there when the foundation was first laid began to weep that, "What sort of failure is this?" God's pattern is always progressive. Scripture says, "The ways of right-living people glow with light; the longer they live, the brighter they shine" (Prov. 4:18 MSG). We are meant to break the records of our fathers, not struggling to keep their pace. The challenge of this generation is that they focus on fruits instead of roots. They are after the results of the fathers instead of their routines. If we can follow ancient schedules we shall command better results. I pray that God will make you a pacesetter. Your results shall be greater because you came latter in Jesus name.
