It's been awhile without any posts. Perhaps because 2017 was a particularly rough year for me. Yet I could also say it was a great year. I was finally able to sell my house and become completely debt free. I upgraded my bus with a motorcycle carrier and KLR 650 adventure bike, a dream since I started the bus conversion but didn't have money for. I explored new parts of Alaska above the Arctic Circle, paddled wild and scenic rivers and witnessed some of the best Northern Lights on one of the coldest nights of my life. I drove over 6k miles with my bus through Canada and Alaska, explored new trails, mountains, glaciers and lakes. And one week in particular I'll never forget, exploring around Valdez and the Chugach. Not only cause Alaska is stunningly beautiful but because I got to share it all with the best company I could have ever asked for.
But I could also say 2017 was a bad year. Due to the loss of loved ones/family, due to irreversible mistakes, due to empty promises, due to loving others more than myself, due to loosing track of goals/dreams and almost loosing hope. 2017 was a roller coaster with high highs an low lows. 2017 left some deep cuts that won't disappear simply cause it's a new year. But I would rather carry the scars then not having tried at all. What doesn't kill you (eventually) does make you stronger. ~ #2017BestNine
