OPENING NEXT WEEK | 📷 Since its inception, photography has testified to the contradicting relationship between man, nature and technology. In the wake of great landscape photographers, contemporary artists are using techniques to document and question our relationship with the natural world. Photography allows us to observe this rapidly changing world and the effects of our existence in it, but can it also function to inspire how we relate to our environment?
From Monday 1 July, the exhibition On Earth is part of Les @rencontresarles using installations, sculptures, in-game photography and video, as well as classical photography. The various visual approaches by 25 artists diverge and converge throughout the exhibition, but show how artists seek to both investigate and harmonize our connection with the natural world.
