I am NOT obsessed (okay, I lied, I am)!! Kicked off day #8 and week#2 of 80 DAY OBSESSION!

My week starts on Sunday so I can get a jump start since I have been working my therapy job 6 days per week lately.
Loving the program even more than the first time! I do believe because I am consistently keeping track of my progress with the weights and bands and I also know what I am doing now!

So, how about at one point, I look down to grab my 10 pound weight and ahem... it is obviously a great cat pillow!

I am pretty sure that Bonsai Cat was making sure it didn’t roll away from me. Plus, he ♥️’s @autumncalabrese and is always around when she is on my TV!

This week my hometown had a 3 day long parade & you bet I enjoyed some treats. Anyone seen the FRIENDS episode where Rachel’s sister Amy comes to visit and judges Joey’s eating habits by saying “a moment on the lips; forever on the hips”. That’s all I could hear in my head the entire 3 days 😂

Here are my 80 Day Obsession Phase 1 Results! I’m down 4.8 lbs and 3 inches. Even though I already completed a whole round of 80 Day Obsession I’m so glad I didn’t skip the first phase and just hop into phase 2 or 3. It was just as difficult as it was the first time around. I am eating more calories this round and I feel that my body is reacting much better than it did with less calories. Don’t be afraid to eat more! You just have to make sure is more clean food to fuel your body. Meal prep! Totally could’ve used the sunny weather as an excuse not to prep, do laundry, etc but now I’m done and get the best of both worlds ☀️ On the menu this week— Breakfast: Smoothie — Lunch: Chicken breast and sliced peppers — Snack: Carrots, cashews and raw cherries 🍒 Supper is always different but consists of a veggie, carb, protein and healthy fat 🙌🏼

Day 25/80 done phase one almost done can’t believe I’ve stuck with it! I usually get bored with the same workouts and would find myself bouncing around a lot never really finishing a 30 day committed routine. I would work out sure but I would do core de force one day 21 day fix the next and then run the next day not sticking to a routine which means not reaping all the benefits of working my way through a workout. It takes dedication and persistence to get the results you want! So put away the excuses and get after it! #80dayobsession #strongerthanyesterday

So my sister and I worked out together today for the first time. It was her first time doing 80 Day Obsession and she killed it! We did cardio core and it was only her second time doing the French twist sliders (the first time was earlier in the workout and she only did 2). I am also proud of myself. When I first started 80DO I could barely done one of these. Now I am able to hold myself up, cross my legs and pull into a pile. So Phase 1 is complete. As a guy that has never completed a fitness or nutrition plan to a t, I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. The nutrition was my first major test - but your body adapts and you become more interested in different foods and how they help you recover.
As somebody who works various shifts, the exercise plan was difficult at times, but I was able to discipline myself to make sure that I completed the daily workouts, whether that be getting up early or making time throughout my working day to do this.
@autumncalabrese Has been one of the main reasons along with the great cast, why I’ve been able to stay on track. She is genuine to the core and you can tell that she has put her heart and soul into helping people do the best they can.

Sunday smoothie prep!

My nutrition coaching certification class topic this week was metabolism. It really drove home the point on just how important what you eat is, whether your goal is to lose weight or to build muscle or just to maintain the muscle mass that you have!

This smoothie is packed full of protein, fiber-filled carbs and plenty of vitamins and minerals to supplement my healthy diet.
And it doesn't hurt that it tastes amazing too!!

PSA ⚠️ this takes a lot of courage to post but I feel if I don’t share every part of this journey even the absolute embarrassing parts! I’m failing myself and everyone else counting on me! I’m FAR from perfect, Ive missed a work out, my nutrition hasn’t been perfect, but I show up and that’s the most important part!

In 4 weeks: I’m down 🔟 pounds & damn near 14 inches! HOW IN THE WORLD! 🌟 Phase 1️⃣ is complete ✅

From the girl who was a 2-3 sport athlete her whole life. I took every gym and weight lifting class! Part of it was for the easy grade; let’s not lie! 😂 other part because I was an athlete, being active was my life!

When I found out I was pregnant with Say; I was playing coed volleyball and coed softball with multiple teams! After the seasons ended I went on with my pregnant self and working. Jordon was sent off to bootcamp, I had say, still drank all the pop (soda or whatever y’all call it) I still ate and lived the life I had before. I slowing but surely started packin on the pounds. Not understanding why all the after having a baby I couldn’t just do what I’ve always done.

In less than 6 years; our family has moved 4 different times, countless underways, deployment, 2 babies, 1 with major health issues that has resulted in 3 brain surgeries, juggling Say’s allergies, depression and anxiety, I’ve gained almost 100 lbs in 6 years....

I have tried so many fad diets, walking, running (btw I am NOT a runner), different fitness programs, counting calories, attempting to cut carbs; seriously feel like I had tried it all! I sat back on the sidelines for almost 80 days watching a girl I’ve known most of my life whole body and self confidence change right before me!

Finally I got the courage to jump on board with her & this amazing team we have! I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long but I can’t express how much this program has helped and changed me!!! && the best part is - I still have 8 weeks left!!!

It’s Sunday and tomorrow is Phase 2 week 2 and yup.... still checking that booty progress 🤭 ... but my gosh, I’ve been super impressed by my quads lately 🤷🏼‍♀️.. anyway.. I love seeing slight changes, muscles that I hadn’t noticed before #80dayobsession .. still taking small steps in the right direction, still on the right path.. discovering more of ME day by day. .
I’ve been feeding my brain A LOT lately and I feel more mental changes happening. It’s amazing how shifting the way we view things, our perception of things...changes us from the inside, out. .
If you’re not working on your brain, you’re not growing as a person and if you’re not continually growing as a person, how do you find happiness? I pride myself on being a good person, on being the best possible version of myself & it truly perplexed me how anybody is ever just happy the way things are, never trying to be better, do better. .

Officially down 9.25 inches and down 6 pounds during Phase 1! A total of 43 pounds down since giving birth and 6 pounds below my pre-pregnacy weight. I'm so proud of myself to finish this 1st phase on the last day of my maternity leave!!! The progress picture left to right is:
*March 25th before #21dayfix
*April 22nd at the start of #80dayobsession and end of 21DF
*Today 5/20 after Phase 1 @ 12 weeks postpartum

I'm so excited for the challenge of phase 2 to begin and to see what progress is in store over this next month. I know it will be different while being back to work but healthy habits lead to positive changes and progress so I know there are only good things to come! I can't wait to feel even stronger, more confident and happy in my own skin.

I finished strong! I received my #80dayobsession finisher tank this week and it means so much to me for a few reasons. First, this was the first Beachbody program I completed and it wasn’t easy. It challenged me both mentally and physically and I loved it. 💪🏼
Second, it was also the first time I really set nutritional goals for myself and stuck with them. I’ve always loved working out but struggled with my nutrition. This program made it easy to set goals, stick with them and lose weight. I lost 12lbs and 10 1/2 inches in 80 days! 👍👏
Third, I found something I love doing and became a #beachbodycoach because of this program. I had amazing results and I want to help others achieve the same. I love being able to help others set goals, put plans into place to achieve them and motivate them along the way to crush their goals! 🙌 🏋️️‍♂️

Non-Scale Victory!

These are a pair of my motivation jeans when I started 80 Day Obsession in January. I was determined to get in these jeans by any means. They were not even a year old yet!! I told myself I am going need to be able to pull up over my 🍑 and zip them up without forcing myself my June! Here is the story!! See I gained weight in September after I completed shift shop due to a minor set back that limited my ability to workout and was not following my nutrition plan. Yes just eat crazy plus football season came so you know what the mean! Yall I never wore them and they still had the tag on them. So I wasn’t giving these to anyone.
Decided to try them on today and look at here. I can fit them and zip them up with forcing myself in them! Yes!! Keep pushing! This is a non-scale victory. It is not about all about the number on the scale majority of the time or how you feel and how your clothes fit. Most of the time when I weight in it is because I want to see how certain foods react to my body.
