#Regram #RG @AmazonFrontlines: Cost is one of the greatest barriers to getting kids into the classroom in the Amazon. Even though public school is free in Ecuador, schools supplies, transportation and uniforms can be a daunting financial burden on families. In indigenous communities, children are invited to wear culturally traditional uniforms to school once a week. Although women have been sewing these uniforms by hand for generations, the government required families to buy these traditional uniforms from outside manufacturers. Moreover, the uniforms don鈥檛 reflect cultural differences between one community and another, and often the design itself isn鈥檛 accurate. A group of Kofan women decided to take matters into their own hands. They started a women鈥檚 sewing cooperative in the community of Dureno and are pushing the government to hire them to produce the traditional uniforms for the next school year. Kofan women have been taking part in intensive sewing workshops organized by the cooperative and have set their sites beyond just producing uniforms for their children鈥 they are beginning to make clothing for the whole community! #amazon #amazonlife##AmazonRainforest #indigenousrights #indigenousresilience#indigenousrising#forestguardians #resistance#indigenousresistance#culture#indigenousculture#culturaindigena#indigenouswomen#womenleaders 馃檹馃徎

Tsai yoshto yoshto (language-twisting-twisting) "Why do Yaminahua shamans talk in twisted language? According to one of them: 'With my koshuiti I want to see--singing, I carefully examine things--twisted language brings me close but not too close--with normal words I would crash into things--with twisted ones I circle around them--I can see them clearly.'" #tsaiyoshtoyoshto #language #shaman #shamanism #amazonrainforest #ayahuasca #consciousness #poetry #koshuiti #languagetwistingtwisting #spirituality #readbooks #jeremynarby #dna #cosmicserpent #cosmic #spirit #existence #jaguar #motherearth #spirits #anthropology #awe #caduceus @shiningredfilms

Copaiba has quite a subtle aroma, reminiscent of cinnamon and honey, tinged with a hint of wood similar to a very diluted cedar.. it is a good base for blends.馃槏
.
The real reason I love Copaiba tho is the promotion of healing, pain relief and comfort. .
.
I personally have tested Copaiba out on BUG BITES and it significantly helped! I reapplied it throughout the day and I鈥檓 telling you, this oil works for those things.
I also take it internally to combat chronic pain and to support healthy amount of inflammation. .
馃尶
.
Copaiba comes from the Brazilian Copaifera reticulata tree. With high levels of beta-caryophyllene and a uniquely sweet aromatic profile, Copaiba oil helps create a relaxing atmosphere when diffused or applied topically.
.
馃尶
.
Beta-caryophyllene selectively binds to the CB2 receptor and that it is a functional CB2 agonist. The CB receptors i speak of are the same receptors that give marijuana or hemp their ability to interact with the body. And Copaibas compound, beta-caryophyllene, interacts in the exact same way, without having any interaction with marijuana. Beta-caryophyllene is in copaiba essential oil, numerous spice and food plants and a major component in Cannabis.
.
馃尶
.
I even spent a couple hours (nbd 馃槀) reading Copaiba scientific studies. They all prove that beta-caryophyllene and the other hydrocarbons within Copaiba are changing the biological system. Here is a quote from one study trying to find copaibas source of magic, talking about a hydrocarbon: 鈥淪oluble epoxide hydrolase has been identified as a molecular target not only for inflammatory diseases, but also as a target for neurodegenerative diseases and for treatment of pain. Thus, targeting EPHX2 and/or PLA2 by copaiba diterpenoids may explain the anti-inflammatory activities of copaiba oleoresins.鈥 .
