I’ve been gaining more and more perspective on what it means to really love and accept oneself. It is easy for to be hard on myself because of my illness, my queerness, my blackness, and all of those feelings that come that make me feel inept and disadvantaged. I’ve come to understand these things all make me for a reason, and I have the power and complete control of making them my *advantages.*
It doesn’t matter where you come from, who you have been, what kinds of dreams you have, or who you are—we have the power to make our lives into anything we wish them to be, and we are made to be more than able and more than conquerers.
Love yourself, and take pride in who you are. Be unapologetic.
