It’s very important to include one sided exercises in your workouts. ✌️
It corrects imbalances by creating more symmetry in each side of the body
✌️
If you always use both sides at the same time your body will default to the stronger side over time. ✌️
My rule of thumb is to include one unilateral exercise per body part that I’m training that day.

HOW WELL DOES YOUR SPINE MOVE?⠀

Our spines are made to move in every direction, lateral, forward flexion, extensions, side flexion, the lumbar spine should move separately from the thoracic. All of these movements that I am saying we should be experiencing does not happen in most of the population. Muscles get locked and stiff making movement much more difficult or even impossible.⠀

WHY DOES IT MATTER?⠀
.⠀
Our spine can be a large contributor to mobility in the joints of our upper body. When we are limited it can cause limited mobility, inflammation in the joints, pain or even injury.⠀

HOW DO WE FIX THIS?⠀
.⠀
We fix this by using different exercises to retrain our spine to move in multiple planes. This exercise helps to create movement laterally in the spine plus also adding rotation, by doing this it creates tension on the muscle that normally doesn't get stretched when doing a normal rotation or side flexion. Our bodies are supposed to move in this type of direction but we never train it, so now we are here to gain mobility so we can be pain-free!!

Daily muscle-ups: Day 4. I got 4 muscle-ups. That’s one less than last time but I’ll get it back up. Also, if you can’t do a muscle-up yet, or you want to learn another movement, try using a resistance band. It really helped me a lot while I was learning my muscle-ups!

Working on the back lever. This move is where you keep your arms straight and hold your body up horizontally with your belly facing down. It requires a lot of upper body strength as well as core and back strength. I plan on getting this move dialed by new year!
