Hello:) if you have a free moment please watch this little video and read through this till the end. It's worth your time. We promise.
We would like to present anyone who is reading this with a challenge to join us in a special type of movement. The challenge isn't hard at all. It might make some of you step outside of you comfort zone or maybe help you meet someone new or get to know someone else a little better. This is a movement called "Because I Care" and was introduced to us from Mt. Sac's Inter Club Council. This movement is to spread random acts of kindness throughout our community. Everyone faces their own personal struggles and some days might not be as bright as others. We can all attest to that. We've all had those days in which nothing seems to go our way. Sometimes the hard work we put into things isn't recognized. So where do you fit into this you may ask? So how can I help others who might be feeling down or simply remind them of how special they are?
Here's how! A simple act of kindness can be more than enough to bring light into a dark day, to remind someone that they are loved and appreciated, to make them feel important, that despite the injustices we see on the media that there are good people in the world doing what they can to spread love to others. So we ask you... to join us in this movement to spread random acts of kindness throughout the community.
The officer team set aside time in there day to write personal notes and handcraft unique bracelets to give to those across our campus. The look on people faces ranged from puzzled looks like "who is this?" & "why are these strangers giving me a gift?" to the biggest possible smiles of happiness and love. It was so sweet to see how one little act of kindness can brighten a persons day. From students, professors, toddlers, librarians, security officers, friends and more it is evident that you have the power to change lives. So whatever random act of kindness you do for others we invite you to share it to help spread this movement along and inspire others to do the same. Use the hashtags #becuzicare11 & #mtsacares
So, on behalf of the H.A Officer Team,
Thank You for being YOU
