Most times, I find that the thing about Instagram and pages like this are that in general, they only say things to get the likes and followers.
Most days, I’m sceptical of quotes like this.
But other days, when I’m struggling to make it through a full day at work, or until the next big event, I see these quotes and think that maybe I could take some of their advice.
Not directly, but in small doses.
This one felt appropriatef for me for the first sentence only. ▫️
••“Nurture the parts of you that need a little more love. “•• ▫️
Do it for yourself. No one else will do it for you. It needs to come from within.
Everyone that reads this will take that to mean something different. But for me it means finding the things or part about myself I’m unhappy with at present, and figuring out how to change that mentality or get better at whatever it is I think I’m lacking.
It’s not a quick fix. I’m sick of looking for quick fixes. I’m here for the long run. I have big plans. How can I help myself to achieve these things and not lose myself in the parts I dislike right now.
Self sabotage is a huge issue for me. Social media doesn’t help.
How can I allow myself to see my imperfections and accept them regardless.
Something I’m willing to do for others, but maybe not for myself.
