Saturday’s are for slow breakfasts and scrumptious brunches... What is your favorite meal of the day?
Magnolia table exceeded all of my expectations from the interior design to the thoughtful and intentional spaces for their guests. When I found out that they only specialize in breakfast and lunch ( closes at 3pm & no reservations), I knew this would be a our first stop on our self tour of all things Jo and Chip. .
Breakfast is one of our family’s favorite meals together and is often a meal we will splurge on when we are traveling with or without kids. Magnolia table is no exception. This place provides a beautiful, welcoming and warm environment for families.
What to order? This was difficult for us to decide because the menu provided a variety of southern home cooking to home made bakery items ( that are not offered at the Silos bakery) and simple delectable lunch options. I am not surprised as this is often my dilemma, order breakfast or lunch items?? But thankfully I was there with one of my dearest friends who also enjoys a good breakfast... so we ordered a few items to share, our own, Magnolia Table brunch buffet 😉. .
We had the biscuits with strawberry butter, home made tator tots, gritts and avocado toast served with a poached egg ( w/ a side of home made bacon). All items we would definitely order again. But I will say, the biscuits is a must order! They are flakey and airy with the right amount of buttery bites that is delicious on its own, but who could resist the home made strawberry 🍓 butter!! This combo was amazing. Sweet and savory. Nothing but crumbs were left in the iron skillet. My only regret was not buying the biscuit mix to take home ❤️. .
