Finally found a clean original of this killer dance tune from Chicago's Toddlin' Town label. Alvin Cash's funkiest offering by far, although I have DJed "Twine Time" which is another banger of his. Alvin Cash had gone solo by the time this record dropped in 1969 but was still with The Crawlers when "Twine Time" (heavily favored on the Northern Soul scene for many decades) came out. Good records don't have to be expensive; this 45 is always ready to light up a funk party or set.

@mmxgallery presents “Tales from the South Side. 1970s Chicago Clubs”, a solo exhibition by the late
American photographer Michael Abramson at @melondonhotel. The exhibition focuses on his best-known photographs from the 1970s, documenting the nightlife of Black clubs on Chicago’s South Side and the underground funk/blues and early disco scene. It’s a celebration of the style and culture of a bygone era. #ChicagoFunk#LondonFunk#PhotoLondonFair18#MElondon#MMXgallery
